Terms of Service
Version 2.0 · Effective 2 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Atlas Red at app.atlas-red.com, operated by Sinisa Dukic, trading as Electra Apps Studio, 8 Ljubljana Str., 1618, Sofia, Bulgaria (“we”) — full details in our Legal Notice. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The short version: your content is yours, use the service lawfully, and Atlas Red is provided as-is while it grows.
1. The service
Atlas Red lets you create, edit, share, import and export structured mind maps, in the browser and through connected AI assistants (MCP). The service is under active development: features may change, be added or be removed. Where a feature is marked experimental (such as AI import), expect rough edges.
2. Your account
You need an account with a valid email address. Keep your credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old. One account is for one person; you may not share, sell or transfer it.
3. Your content
Everything you create in Atlas Red remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service: to store your content (encrypted at rest), back it up, and display it to you and to anyone you share it with. We claim no other rights, we do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not mine it for advertising. You are responsible for the content you store and share — it must not infringe others’ rights or applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or store or distribute unlawful content through the service;
- probe, breach or circumvent security or access controls, or access other users’ data;
- overload the service, evade rate limits, or use it to send spam or malware;
- resell the service or provide it to third parties as your own offering;
- use automated means to scrape the service outside the documented APIs.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Editions, fair use and storage
Atlas Red comes in editions. Atlas Red Free includes every feature with a limit of 10 maps per account and 1,000 nodes per map. Atlas Red Pro is a one-time license that removes the map limit and raises the per-map limit to 5,000 nodes. Limits are shown in the app and enforced when you create maps or add content — an edition change never takes away access to content you already created. We may adjust the limits of the free edition prospectively; limits that were part of a purchased license are not reduced afterwards.
The service is for mind maps, not general file hosting. As a fair-use safeguard, total content storage is limited to 100 MB per account on Atlas Red Free and 5 GB per account on Atlas Red Pro. Technical per-item limits also apply (currently images up to 5 MB each and notes up to 64 KB per node). We may contact, and if necessary restrict, accounts that exceed these bounds or use the service as a storage or distribution layer for other systems.
6. Purchases, licenses and refunds
Paid purchases — the Pro license and prepaid AI credit packs — are sold by our merchant of record, Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), which is the seller of record for your order and handles payment, invoicing and applicable sales tax or VAT. Prices are shown at checkout, exclusive of any taxes the checkout adds for your country. A Pro license bought on a marketplace we list on — AppSumo (AppSumo, LLC) — is sold by that marketplace under its own terms, prices and refund policy; you activate it on the marketplace and it attaches to the Atlas Red account you sign in with or create at activation. If the marketplace refunds or deactivates the license, the account returns to the Free edition.
Atlas Red Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pay once and the license is yours: it covers the Pro edition including all future updates — no renewal, no expiry, and no re-purchase for later versions. The license is personal, tied to the account (email address) used at purchase, and non-transferable.
Prepaid AI credits fund AI features at the rates shown in the app. Purchased packs do not expire unless expressly stated otherwise at purchase; complimentary credits (such as the signup trial credit, which expires 30 days after it is granted) may carry an expiry shown in the app. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value except where a refund applies.
Refunds: the Pro license comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee — no questions asked. AI credit packs are refundable within 14 days of purchase unless the credit has been substantially consumed. To request a refund, write to hello@atlas-red.com from your account email. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Sharing
Share links make a map readable by anyone who has the link, without an account. You decide what to share and with whom; you can revoke any link at any time in the app. We are not responsible for onward distribution of links you hand out.
8. Copyright and content complaints
If a shared map infringes your copyright, or otherwise breaks the law or these terms, tell us at copyright@atlas-red.com — the Report link on every shared map opens a message there. This address is our notice mechanism under the EU Digital Services Act and the contact for copyright notices under the US DMCA, and our point of contact for authorities and users.
What a notice must contain: the share link(s) and, where relevant, which topic or image; the work you say is infringed, or the law or term you say is broken, and why; your name, postal address and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent or the law, and that your notice is accurate; and, for copyright claims, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them, with your physical or electronic signature. We tell you what is missing from an incomplete notice.
What we do: we act expeditiously on a complete notice — normally by disabling the share link or removing the reported content — tell the account holder what was reported and why, and tell you what we did. We decide notices diligently and in good faith, but we do not judge disputes between you and the account holder.
Counter-notice: an account holder who believes content was removed by mistake or misidentification may write to the same address with: what was removed; a statement under penalty of perjury to that effect; their name, address and email; consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at their address (outside the US, any court where we may be found) and to accept service from the complainant; and their signature. We forward it to the complainant and restore access after 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action against the account holder.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers (§12). Knowingly false notices and counter-notices carry liability under applicable law, and we may stop processing notices from a sender whose notices are repeatedly unfounded.
9. AI features
Atlas Red’s AI features are an interface to third-party AI models that we do not own or train: an import you run is sent to a model operated by another company (our own provider, or the one you configure yourself), and the result comes back from that model. Atlas Red is the mind-mapping product around it — the maps, structure, editing, sharing and export are ours; the model is not.
AI import (photo/PDF to map) is experimental and best-effort: transcriptions may be incomplete or wrong, and you should verify results against your original. The feature is subject to rate limits and usage budgets we may adjust. If you configure your own AI provider key (“bring your own key”), your relationship with that provider — including its terms and any costs it charges you — is your own; we send it only what is needed to fulfil your import request.
10. Connected apps (MCP)
You can authorize AI assistants to access your account over MCP. An authorized connection can read and modify all maps in your account with your permissions. Review connections and revoke them any time in Settings. Actions taken by a connected app count as your actions.
11. Availability, backups and data portability
We aim for high availability but offer no uptime guarantee (no SLA). We keep encrypted nightly backups for disaster recovery, but they are not a personal archive — use the built-in export (JSON, Markdown, OPML and more) to keep your own copies of important maps. Your data is never locked in.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account; this permanently removes your content and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, including repeated infringement of others’ rights (§8), and — with reasonable advance notice and time to export your data — discontinue the service.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data; nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or where liability cannot lawfully be limited. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Questions: hello@atlas-red.com. See also the Privacy Policy.
Version history
- 2.0 — 2 October 2026: new §8 (copyright and content complaints) — one address for notices about shared maps, what a notice and a counter-notice must contain, what we do on receipt, and that repeat infringers are terminated (§12 now says so). Sections after §7 renumbered. Material because it adds a termination ground; announced in the app per §14.
- 1.8 — 5 September 2026: §6 names marketplace sales (AppSumo) — the marketplace is the seller under its own terms and refund policy; activation attaches the license to your account.
- 1.7 — 3 August 2026: §8 now states plainly that the AI features are an interface to third-party AI models we neither own nor train, and what is ours around them. Disclosure only — no change to how the features work, what they cost, or any other term.
- 1.6 — 3 August 2026: §6 — the merchant of record changed from Lemon Squeezy, LLC to Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia). The section now names any prior seller of record for orders that predate a merchant change; no orders were placed while Lemon Squeezy was named, so no prior-seller sentence applies today. No change to prices, the 60-day/14-day refund windows or any other term.
- 1.5 — 24 July 2026: the operator is now named in full — Sinisa Dukic, trading as Electra Apps Studio, with a postal address and a Legal Notice; contact address is now hello@atlas-red.com.
- 1.4 — 24 July 2026: added §6 (purchases, licenses and refunds — one-time Pro license with all future updates, 60-day/14-day refund windows); sections renumbered.
- 1.3 — 22 July 2026: per-image technical limit raised from 2 MB to 5 MB.
- 1.2 — 22 July 2026: free map limit raised from 3 to 5; per-map node limits added (1,000 free / 5,000 Pro).
- 1.1 — 22 July 2026: product name is now Atlas Red; added §5 (editions, fair use and storage limits); sections renumbered.
- 1.0 — 12 July 2026: initial version.
